Understanding Your Financial Options

The admissions process also includes arrangements and payment information for the treatment fees. The financial aspect of treatment is often a difficult piece to plug into the puzzle. Our highly trained staff will help answer any questions you may have about insurance and finances so that this process can move as smoothly as possible. Please be advised that fees may vary somewhat due to circumstances specific to each case. Our admissions staff will make you aware of any variances, if applicable. Also, The Refuge is a longer term length of stay model, with stays estimated at approximately 90 days or longer in a residential level of care. Additional post-treatment recommendations may also involve costs not included in this pricing structure. Your admissions specialist will explain more about this, however, many post-treatment and aftercare plans are driven by the clinical treatment team based on the individual progress of the client in treatment, therefore only limited information regarding this may be available at admission.

Insurance Information

The cost of treatment varies based on the level of care you require. The Refuge treats each client individually and care is tailored around your specific needs as it applies to your specific medical and therapeutic needs.

The Refuge a Healing Place LLC will work with your insurance plans at your request. You, the client, should always check with your insurance provider to verify the benefits you are entitled to. Your insurance carrier may have other treatment centers in-network that address your issues. In most cases your insurance plan will not pay for your entire treatment, this can be said for in-network providers as well. The Refuge and its staff have no control over the insurance plan, benefits or carrier you chose. An insurance plan is a contract between you and the carrier you selected. You should expect to be responsible for payment that is not covered by your insurance carrier. You should always check with your insurance company prior to admission.

At your request, The Refuge-A Healing Place will assist you in verifying your insurance benefits.  The Refuge has a dedicated, full-time insurance team working on your side to help you utilize the benefits that you are entitled to.  Verifying your insurance benefits should never cost you money!

In most cases your insurance will company will require an ongoing assessment of your progress throughout treatment.  Your insurance company will determine, based on your plan what services will be covered while you are in treatment at The Refuge.  Generally, your insurance company will approve several days at a time.  At which point The Refuge staff will inform you of the current status of your claim.  The Refuge has no control over the decisions made by your insurance company as this is a contract between you and the carrier you chose.  At any time your insurance carrier may decrease your benefit or deny payment altogether.  If your insurance company decreases your benefit and/or denies payment you should expect to be responsible for any balances owed for your treatment.

Verifying benefits and obtaining payment is an expensive and time-consuming process that requires trained professionals to complete.  A signed financial agreement between you and The Refuge is required at the time of admission.   A financial counselor will be assigned to your account and will be able to answer any questions you may have regarding your payment and the insurance process.
